Brenton Jones Practice Principal and Director - Future Wealth Planners (FWP)

Brenton has the following qualifications: a BComm. DipFP, ADipFP and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Brenton is the founder and sole director of Future Wealth Planners (FWP).

FWP was established more than twenty years ago with Brenton having more than thirty-seven years’ experience in the financial services industry. Brenton has a sound understanding of superannuation and retirement planning strategies as well as investment portfolio design, implementation and management.

Although he has been a self-employed financial adviser for most of working life, he has also held roles as an investment adviser and financial planner with the Terrace Counsellors now part of the Plan B Group (a wholly owned subsidiary of IOOF), as well as the Perth office of Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants.

Outside of work, Brenton is married with two adult sons, with the eldest expecting their first child in a few months’ time as well as two adult stepdaughters each of whom have sons. He is passionate about Australian military history and some classic cars.

Dr Steve Garth Principal Consultant - Principia Investment Consultants

Steve has the following qualifications: a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Australian National University. He also holds a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, a BA with majors in History and Politics, and holds a Masters Degree in Applied Finance (MAppFin). As well, he has a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. Steve is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Steve Garth is the Principal of Principia Investment Consultants. He provides his expertise and experience in areas such as policy making, planning, asset allocation, implementation and the evaluation of investment strategies and investment managers.

For nearly two decades, he played a key role in helping grow the Australian arm of global asset manager Dimensional Fund Advisors. During his career he has managed Australian and global equity portfolios, managed the Asia Pacific trading team, oversaw the introduction of direct market access trading, and in his later career he specialized in managing the firm’s fixed interest strategies.

Steve’s career at Dimensional also encompassed the role of investment Specialist, where he would speak at Conferences and Events, as well as meetings with Advisor firms discussing economic and market conditions, asset allocation, and investment solutions.

Before joining Dimensional in 2001, Steve was on the faculty of the University of New South Wales. His teaching and research interests were in optical fibre technology and quantitative finance.

Michael Block Chief Investment Officer - Bellmont Securities

Michael has the following qualifications: FCPA (FPS), CIMA, F Fin, Adjunct Industry Professor UTS BCom, MCom, BA UNSW Grad Dip Applied Finance & Investment FinSIA, Dip Law USyd/LPAB, Dip Financial Planning Deakin University.

Michael has been involved in the financial services sector in Australia for over 40 years. He has held a diverse range of positions in stockbroking, investment banking, government and funds management.

Michael is an Adjunct Industry Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney and most recently was a Strategy and Governance Consultant at Mine Super. From 2014 to 2022 Michael was the Chief Investment Officer of Australian Catholic Super and before that Chief Investment Officer of Nambawan Super in Papua New Guinea.

Michael has undergraduate qualifications in law, accounting, financial planning, finance and philosophy and postgraduate qualifications in law, applied finance, economic history and economics.

Michael was born in South Africa, is married with three daughters and two grandchildren all of whom are Roosters fans.

Michael enjoys watching many sports and occasionally playing some of them badly, particularly golf.

Ben EvansInvestment Analyst - Bellmont Securities Voting Member & Secretary

Ben has the following qualifications: BSc, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Ben joined the Bellmont team in August 2025 as an Investment Analyst to add to Bellmont’s capabilities across our multi-asset portfolios. Ben is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Politics and Economics from the University of Surrey (UK).

Prior to joining Bellmont, Ben worked for more than five years in the UK as an Investment Consultant at Aon, responsible for providing investment advice and portfolio management services for institutional multi-asset pension scheme investment portfolios.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing football (soccer) and is an avid supporter of Sheffield United. He is also a keen musician and holds a Grade 8 qualification in classical guitar.

Peter BellCo-founder and Director - Bellmont Securities

Peter has the following qualifications: a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics & Finance) from the University of Wollongong, graduating with Distinction.

Peter Bell is a co-founder and director of Bellmont Securities.

Peter brings over 20 years of experience in investment markets, possessing broad expertise in investment strategy, trading, and portfolio management. His market knowledge spans Australian Equities, Australian and Global Bonds, Derivatives, and multi-asset Managed Account portfolios.

An experienced presenter and facilitator, Peter specialises in communicating complex investment strategy and technical market concepts in a clear and easily digestible manner for all stakeholders, irrespective of their financial background.

Outside of work, Peter is married with two boys. He loves all types of exercise and sport, especially trying (in vain) to keep up with his boys in the surf.

Simon BurleyCFA, Paraplanner and advice strategy analyst - Future Wealth Planners (FWP)

Simon is a CFA Charterholder with over 10 years of experience in the industry, and joined the FWP team in 2021. Since joining FWP he has been involved in shaping the firm’s approach to investing – contributing research, reporting and evaluation. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an Advanced Diploma (ADFP), and supports the development and documentation of tailored financial advice.

Simon serves on the Investment Committee at Future Wealth Planners, operating within the Committee’s charter to support oversight and guidance on investment strategy, governance, and risk management. He brings a values-driven approach that places the client at the heart of all matters.

He is passionate about continuous learning and is currently expanding his knowledge of Python programming to enhance his understanding of data and finance.
